Flatland
I script and record VOs, produce and report for our digital magazine and current affairs TV program. I’m a five-time EMMY award nominee, earning my first win in 2022 for reporting and producing “Houseless in Kansas City.”
curiousKC at Flatland
In 2018, Kansas City PBS hired me to manage and produce their journalism civic engagement series “curiousKC,” powered by Hearken. As project lead, I led engagement strategy, editorial management and reporting efforts and have married public engagement efforts with how we source our new current affairs monthly program.
WRITING
I primarily write long-form, explanatory and accountability — also known as solutions-focused — journalism pieces. For our monthly TV program, I assist with script-writing and copy editing. During production of the Filter Podcast, I directed, hosted and wrote scripts and sound design notes. Topics I focus on include health, culture, housing and houselessness, and education.
